Sara Lynn Evans is the oldest daughter of seven and was born in a rural area near New Franklin, Missouri. Sara has always been a fan of music and started singing with her parents at age 5. The singer began her professional career when she was sixteen when she sang in the club in Columbia Missouri for two years. Then in 1991, she moved from Missouri to Nashville Tennessee, with the intention of becoming an artist of country music. The album was praised by many critics as a return of the classic country sound, and included it on their Top Ten Albums for the Year lists.
