Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer and musician. She was born December 13th in 1989. Her discography covers a variety of genres, and her songwriting--often driven by her own personal experience--has been praised by critics and received extensive media attention. Swift was born in West Reading (PA) and relocated to Nashville as a teenager to pursue a career as an artist in the country music industry. Swift signed an arrangement for songwriting with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and a recording contract with Big Machine Records in 2004. Swift's debut album was the first U.S. platinum-certified country album. It was self-titled. Swift's next albums, Fearless (2008), and Speak Now (2010), were a focus on country pop. Swift's two first albums called Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010), were an emphasis on the country genre. The tracks "Love Story" (and "You Are My Friend") were the first songs to be ranked in the U.S. all-genre and pop airplay charts. Red (2012), which included the debut Billboard Hot 100 number one song, "We are Never Ever getting back Together" was her electronic and rock album. 1989 (2014) which was her synth-pop album, showcases her original image. It also included the chart-topping songs "Shake It off", "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood". Reputation (2017) came out in the year 2017 and its highest-charting track "Look at What You made Me Do" was the result of media attention. Swift left Big Machine in 2018, signed to Republic Records and released Lover (2019) which was her seventh studio album. This was immediately followed by Miss Americana (2020), her autobiographical documentary. Swift experimented with alternative and indie music on her album for 2020, Folklore. Swift's hits "Cardigan", Willow, and "Willow" made it to the top of the Hot 100. Following a dispute with her masters Swift began to record a re-record of six albums. Swift made two albums available in 2021: Fearless (Taylor's version) as well as Red. "All Too Well (10 minute version)" was the longest song to make it to the top of the Hot 100. Midnights the album from 2022 and its first single "Anti-Hero", have established new streaming music records that have stood the test. Swift has also produced music films and videos like All Too Well, The Short Film (2021) and had a supporting role. Swift is one of the most successful musicians of all time, selling more than 200 million albums across the world. Swift is the highest-rated female artist on Spotify. She is also the only artist to have five albums that have sold over 1 million copies in the US. Swift has been awarded twelve Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year and an Emmy Award. She also was awarded 40 American Music Awards and 29 Billboard Music Awards. She also has records of 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been featured in numerous high-profile rankings, such as The Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Songswriters of All Time and Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists. Swift has been awarded the title of Artist of the Decade as in addition to Woman of the Decade. She is a strong advocate for women's rights and artist rights.
